        • Hand wash only (no dishwasher)
        • Mild soap only (not high grease cutting dish soap)
        • Hand dry all surfaces with lint free cloth
        • Air dry with all surfaces elevated from any standing water

        Treatment

        Right out of the box all BBQ Boards® have already received:
        • Full submersion food-grade mineral oil bath
        • Food-grade carnauba & beeswax conditioner

        BBQ Boards® are engineered to withstand the test of time & were designed with the rigorous demands of a kitchen & BBQ in mind.

        Maintenance

        Regular upkeep of wooden products is required to increase their useful lifespan. Frequent application of BBQ Board Balm™ Care Products is suggested.

        Do not use olive oil, avocado oil, vegetable oil or any other oils that tend to go rancid over time to care for your cutting boards or wooden kitchen utensils.

        • When to apply BBQ Board Balm™, Oil
          • After cleaning & wood is thoroughly dry
          • Apply every 12-24 cleaning cycles
          • Or when the wood has lost its luster and is visibly dry
        • When to apply BBQ Board Balm™, Wax
          • After oiling & wood is saturated with oil
          • Apply wax every 6-12 cleaning cycles
          • Always wax after each time the board is oiled to seal the oil inside
          • Waxing will create an easier clean up, provide a water repellant barrier to protect the wood & prevent staining of some of the lighter colored sections of wood

        Recommendations

        Prior to first use apply a generous coat of BBQ Board Balm™ Wax to all surfaces, faces, edges & into the juice groove to reduce the potential for staining & to ensure a water repellant seal.
